If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

Have you contemplated why the world is in the mess it is in? It seems that the world is on a trajectory to self-destruction.  Currently, we are bombarded with news of global conflicts that could escalate into global war. We are told the planet is being destroyed by humanity’s carbon footprint and the lack of global awareness. Something worse than COVID-19 – virus X- is on the horizon and will kill many. The global markets are unstable, and the cost-of-living crisis could worsen.

How are people supposed to remain calm and sane when everything is collapsing? What is the solution?

Current global ills are the result of humanity’s desire to live hedonistic lifestyles and thus reject the Living God. Even the “Church,” that is, to represent God through living according to His word, has rejected much of what the bible states to embrace a political ideology in an attempt to fill empty pews.

The reality is that the devil has infiltrated the church and deceived many into believing it is OK to sin. That God has changed His mind on the classification of sin. Consequently, according to many denominations, it is OK for Christians to commit adultery, fornicate or be homosexual because God has changed his mind.

If God has changed His mind, then why did Jesus come and die for our sins? How can God change when scripture states God changes NOT?

The alarming state of the world today is a direct result of the church’s failure to be salt and light to the world. Instead, it made peace with the world and sought friendship with sin. Consequently, God is now judging the sin of the world. Likewise, God will give the world over to a ruler it desires. A Lawless ruler named the antichrist.

So, what should the church do?

It is time for the people of God to humble themselves before the LORD and repent for turning away from God and His word. It is time for the people of God to humble themselves and cry out to the LORD as they seek His face and His mercy in these days. However, understand this: JUDGMENT is coming! However, we can reduce the severity.

The days we are living in are prophetic. We are the final generation. However, that does not mean we do nothing. To humble oneself before God and repent is our only hope. In fact, scripture informs us it is the only way believers can endure the times we are living in.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

Thus, I urge you to gather men and women wherever you live to pray and repent on behalf of the church and the nation you live in. Spend time praying and fasting; remember that Judgment is coming. We cannot stop that. However, we can ask the LORD for mercy. We can ask the LORD to save people.

Sadly, many who read this will not act. That is up to you. You will give an account before God for your apathy. However, for those who are burdened to act, I remind you that this is not a one-day or one-time event. This is a calling. God is seeking people to come before Him and sacrifice their desires, time, and, for some, their lives to stand in the gap.

Time is short. However, the LORD will move. He will answer the prayers of those who gather in repentance. The question is what will your response be?

I urge you to watch the videos below. The first is a call to anguish by David Wilkerson. The second and third videos are testimonies of God moving when people pray, fast and repent before God. I challenge you to watch time all and allow the Living God to move through the Holy Spirit in your life.
