Surveying the United Kingdom’s geopolitical temperature and landscape, one is instantly aware of how divided the nation is.[1] Today, many in the UK are looking to Reform for answers, or to Tommy Robinson; others within the church are being drawn to a radical form of Christianity rooted in nationalistic ideals. However, others within the church are critical of such displays of Christian fervour and Christian nationalism in the public sphere.[2] Both groups are asserting biblical legitimacy for what they believe, but who is correct?

The reality is that both views – the Christian Nationalist and the opposing voices are, in some way, right. What do I mean? Both quote scripture to legitimise their cause. However, such use of scripture is nothing new. It is achieved by twisting scripture or taking it out of context, and by not allowing the full council to determine how we should respond.  Nevertheless, it is not my intention to provide a scriptural critique of both of them.[3] Instead, I want to propose how, as Christians, we should respond and also outline why we have arrived at this juncture in history.

Historically, the United Kingdom, like other Western nations, was grounded in biblical truths. It is why many of the laws in what was once Great Britain were good. It is because they were of biblical origin. However, we have arrived at this juncture in history because the church, for the most part, has watered down scripture. It has allowed woke liberal theologies to come into the church in an attempt to make it more palatable to people. It is these woke, liberal Christians who, for the most part, condemn the use of the cross in the public sphere.

Consequently, due to the watering down and infusion of woke lawless ideologies, these churches preach a different Christ. A different Gospel that is inept of transformative saving power. Scripture informs us that Jesus came and died to save us from our sin.[4] If we confess our sin, then God is faithful to forgive us and save us.[5] A gift that is free to all, which we receive through faith.[6] However, once we accept this free gift of salvation, we are to endeavour to walk in obedience to the word of God, as we do the good works God has ordained.[7] It is as we do this that we take captive our thoughts and bring them into submission to the word of God.[8] It is as we work out our salvation in fear and trepidation[9] – meaning we surrender our lives to God as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus, our master.

However, today, many churches have redefined sin and, therefore, allowed lawlessness to flourish.[10] In removing the word of God from the church, we have allowed it to be removed from society. For the church has allowed the light to grow dim.[11]

The good news is that the light cannot be extinguished.[12] Moreover, the light shines brighter in the darkness of the world – the sin and lawlessness.

The reason our nation is in despair and turmoil is that the church removed God’s word and became lawless. Consequently, God has removed His hand of protection, which brings judgment. Therefore, as part of the judgment, the alien in our nation becomes the head, and we become the tail. The alien strips us of our resources, rapes and abuses our women and terror is unleashed as God no longer defends us because we have forsaken His Holy name. A reality that will get worse because the church fails to repent.

You see, there is no political remedy for our current situation. Neither is the answer found within a Christian nationalist ideology, all be it appealing and in parts rooted within scripture. Likewise, the solution is not found among those who criticise the cross’s use in the public sphere.

The answer is simple: the church needs to repent. It needs to clean house as it commits to returning to proclaiming the undiluted and uncompromised word of God. That believers commit to walking according to the word of God and allow God to define what He calls sin. That we seek a righteous fear of God, as we desist from profaning His holy name.

If we do this, then we will see God move. However, there is also a deeper, more pressing issue: our situation has become critical. This is why a Christian nationalist and political solution cannot be found.

If it were just the United Kingdom that had become lawless, and other nations remained vigilant, we could, through repentance, turn things around. That does not negate the urgent need for repentance, as the church must do this. I will expound on this concept further later. However, let me unpack the more urgent issue.

The global move to usurp biblical truth with woke, liberal, lawless theologies has resulted in the removal of the pure word of God within the church and then society. Consequently, sin is not being restrained.[13] Remember, Paul wrote that it was the word of God that informed him and thus restrained sin.[14] Likewise, it is the word of God that we bring our sinful thoughts into submission to.[15]

Thus, because the word of God – the primary restraining force of sin – has been removed, it has allowed lawlessness to flourish globally. A move that has paved the way for the man of sin – lawlessness to come.[16] It is because of this that the prophetic clock is ticking, the Great Tribulation is at hand, and the antichrist is at the door. Sadly, most Christians are unable to discern the times. Others perceive world events through a misguided theological lens. However, it is clear to many that we are living in prophetic times and that the antichrist will soon be revealed.[17]

It is because of this why, in part, the Christian nationalist aspiration will not succeed. Likewise, it is one of the reasons why a political solution will not work. Remember, world events are only the physical manifestation of the spiritual conflict and problems. Thus, it is why we are not to wage war with the physical but the spiritual.[18] That does not mean we do not engage in politics. On the contrary, as believers, we should. Nevertheless, the way a nation is governed righteously is through the people of that nation and its leaders surrendering to God and waking in accordance with scripture.

Moreover, the ideals of Christian nationalism, as with dominion theology, fail to apply context. Yes, God did instruct Adam and Eve to have dominion, but context is everything.[19] But they failed. Yes, Messiah gave believers the keys to the Kingdom[20] and all authority to lose and bind.[21] However, we are not commanded to do this through political means. Rather, we are called to proclaim the gospel.[22]

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”[23]

We are called to walk as Jesus, our Messiah, walked. We are instructed to let our light shine in the darkness.[24] In doing so the cross- the gospel will be in the public sphere, similar to when the disciples walked the earth. Remember the god of this age has blined the minds of the unbeliever. But it is through the proclamation of the undiluted word of God. The work of the Holy Spirit and the prayers of believers that people hear and accept the gospel.

“Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”[25]

Furthermore, it is the Messiah who brings the Kingdom with Him, and He establishes it when He returns. We, however, are to live as aliens in the world, not of it but in it.[26] When we become believers, our citizenship is no longer in the nation we were born in, but in the one to come. Our kind is Jesus the Messiah. It is this kingdom we are to focus on,[27] as we walk as Messiah showed and instructed.[28] We are not to conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind.[29]

So, what is the solution? It is for the church and believers to repent and commit to walking a life according to the word of God. Then we must commit to proclaiming the undiluted word of God in word and deed. Then we prepare for judgment and persecution.

Why should we prepare if we have repented? Sadly, world events have gone past the point of no return. The prophetic clock cannot be stopped. Repenting will reduce the severity; however, just as we read in the Old Testament, God must judge for His Holy name’s sake. Now, I know some will find that hard to believe. That God will judge. Well, scripture informs us that judgment commences at the House of God.[30]

The persecution many Christian’s experience will soon come to Western nations. The antisemitism experienced by past generations will once again raise its evil head.

Soon, we will witness a global economic collapse.[31] One that will ultimately see the implementation of a digital global currency. Likewise, we will see the implementation of digital ideas worldwide. Both of which are infrastructure of the AI beast system that will enslave humanity. We will also see a world war and the rise of a global government and ruler.

Some will say, what I have written is impossible. However, the reality is that it is at the door, and the people who should be warning are asleep. Many are seeking their next spiritual fix, going from one spiritual high to another.

Thus, I urge people. Do not be drawn into taking a side. The only side we should be fighting for is the LORD’s. The only Kingdom we should be seeking to advance is the Kingdom of God through the proclamation of the undiluted word of God. When this is done, we will see supernatural events. Although the period of the Great Tribulation is marked by supernatural events unprecedented since the beginning, and since the plagues of Egypt.

The current political and spiritual health of the church is being used by the enemy to sideline people from the real battle. The only battle we should be concerned with and using our gifts and time to engage in is the spiritual battle for people’s souls. Some will argue that this is what the Christian nationalists are concerned with, which is, in some way, right. However, they are being led to think it can be solved through other means. Moreover, they fail, as I have stated, to understand the prophetic times we live.

Furthermore, Christian nationalist movements, as well as Christian Zionist and pro-Israel groups, are being used as pawns against the rising Islamic tide coming against the West. These groups are being manipulated to fight each other, thus preventing Christians from engaging in the real battle and also seeing the reality of our situation. Once these groups have clashed, Christianity and Jewish people will be vilified, as too could radical ideologies, such as those witnessed with Islamists. However, it will definitely bring persecution against Christians and Jews as they are blamed for global ills, similar to how Hitler blamed Jews for Germany’s ills. Why will this take place? To fulfil prophecy.[32]

Thus, our only way forward is to walk humbly before God. That we surrender our lives and seek to work out our salvation in fear and trepidation. That we seek the LORD and His wisdom and not the wisdom of this world.

Moreover, if we keep our eyes fixed on the Messiah, we will walk as He did and do what He did. If the church spent more time praying and waging war in the spiritual realm for the souls of the Muslims coming into our nation, rather than, we would see something supernatural take place. That does not mean we have open borders, for that is folly. We must stop what is taking place, but we must also engage in spiritual war.

Time will show where we are on the prophetic clock. The question is: are you ready for what is revealed, or will you be caught off guard? Moreover, will you be found to be a good steward of what God has given you, or will you have wasted your life and the gifts He gave you to use at this time?

One would have to be blind, deaf, and dumb not see the impending war and economic turmoil soon to be unleashed. Our only hope is to surrender to the one true God. So, what will you do?

[10] One only needs to look at how churches have capitulated to woke liberalist ideologies and reframed them as biblical truth. Look at how churches embrace homosexuality and same sex marriages, or drag queens delivering Sunday school messages. Likewise, one only needs to look at feminist and liberation theology or the merging of spirituality within the worship of the living God through synchronistic worship is embraced as is a move back to Roman Catholicism.
