The world is tittering on global war as NATO continues to provoke Russia via its proxy Ukraine. Likewise, the situation in Israel is critical, as is that of Taiwan and China. However, while these conflicts pose unprecedented risks to humanity, the most severe is the spiritual battle taking place. A war that seeks to enslave the souls of humanity – separating them eternally from God.
The Ukrainian war continues to escalate, and the prospect of WW3 looms over mankind. However, while I do not know when global war will erupt, I do know it will soon transpire, but only God knows its timing. Furthermore, while we should seek to be socio-politically informed regarding what is transpiring between NATO and Russia, we must keep our eye on Israel to understand Bible prophecy. Nevertheless, while the prospect of global war is of grave concern, what will occur first is the demise of global economies; only once we have experienced an economic collapse and famine will global war take place. Why do I say that? It is because God has given His people insight into the days we live. The Bible informs us what will take place prior to Messiah’s return.
Now, while the coming economic collapse and the ensuing famine concern us, as too should the prospect of global war, the more pressing matter is a person’s eternal destination. Will you go to the lake of fire, or will you spend eternity with God? Furthermore, for Christians, the coming judgment against the church should cause us to pray and fast as we seek God.
The Bible informs us that every one of us will one day die. That is the destiny of everyone. Yes, scientists might seek to prolong life, but the reality is we will all die. It is inevitable. Thus, the question that everyone should ask is, “What happens when I die?” Well, the Bible is clear: those who have surrendered their life to God and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will, once they die, spend eternity with God. That is not because they have never done anything wrong; on the contrary, it is because they have confessed their sins – that is, what they have done wrong according to God’s standards and then surrender their life to God. They have committed to following the example set by Jesus as they live a life according to the Bible. That is what a Christian means. That does not mean Christians are perfect, on the contrary, but it means they seek daily to live a life according to scripture. Being a Christian is a way of life, it is a relationship with God. It takes commitment and dedication just like any relationship.
Sadly, today, many who profess to be Christians have perverted the scriptures as they twist the Bible to allow them to continue to live in sin. In doing this, they have created a god in their own image and, therefore, worship a distorted version of God; thus, through their rebellion, they profane the Holy name of God.
Consequently, God is going to judge the church, for scripture informs us that judgment commences with the house of God. A judgment that deals with rebellion and sin, as God reveals who He is and ensures His name is not profaned but declared Holy.
Thus, I urge fellow believers to examine yourself, and if you are in sin, repent, turn from sin and seek God. Commit to walking along the narrow path Jesus has gone before. Failure to do so will result in judgment. As Christians, we cannot redefine sin. God has informed us in His word what sin is, according to His standard, not ours. How prideful are those who believe that they can change God’s word? To do so brings a curse and judgment. God will not be mocked, nor will He permit His name to be profaned any longer.
Furthermore, for those who say, well, I am not one of those Christians, or I do not attend a church that twists scripture. Praise God, that is good that you do not, BUT we are all part of the Body, and while some parts might not be sick, when a part of the Body is then the whole body is affected. Thus, we cannot sit idle. We must act. We must stand in the gap as we pray for God to open people’s eyes to see and ears to hear. It falls on those who discern the times to pray, fast and repent. To not means we have not grasped scripture and have failed to love our brothers and sisters as Christ loves us sacrificially. That when other Christians persecute us for what we stand for – Biblical truth we do not become inactive. On the contrary, we continue to proclaim the word of God, calling people to repentance while we pray for them as we humble ourselves before God and cry out to Him in repentance. Remembering that when God judges He always shows mercy.
The reality of our condition is that God has removed His hand of protection, which is why the world is in such a mess. Thus, our only hope is to turn to God in repentance, cease living according to our desires, and submit to God.
For those who have never surrendered their lives to God, I urge you to do so. What we are witnessing globally—the increase of lawlessness, war, famine, pestilence, and economic turmoil—are only the birth pains of more severe judgments. They are the consequences of God giving humanity over to our lawless desires. But our current condition is nothing like what is soon to be unleashed. The judgment coming will make the dark ages look inviting.
A person’s only hope is to call out to God as you confess your sin and humbly commit to living a life according to how God directs.
The reality is that the state of the world only shows the condition of men’s hearts and the raging spiritual conflict. Thus, it is time for the people to humble themselves, repent and then engage the enemy clothed in the armour of God. Remember our battle is not physical but rather spiritual. Likewise, the weapons we wage war with are spiritual and are vastly superior to those our enemies have – the principalities and powers in the heavens.
Paul informs us that we can stand in the evil day clothed in the armour of God. Therefore, why should we fear? It is time for the people of God to humble themselves before the Living God and resist the devil.
We are living in the days the prophets wrote about. We are witnessing scripture come to life, as today’s generation – the final generation before Jesus’ return – will witness unprecedented supernatural events. There will soon be no doubting that the Living God is real and is above all other gods. Furthermore, mankind is going to witness things perceived to be mythical as the spiritual realm invades the physical. There are no such things as alien beings, only supernatural beings. We are going to witness the fallen angels and their offspring being unleashed as judgment against mankind. A reality that will cause peoples hearts to stop out of dread. A person’s only hope is to be engulfed with – to know the perfect love of God in your life through having a personal relationship with God through Jesus our Messiah.
A person cannot endure what is coming through their own endeavours. It does not matter how much food you have stored, the survival skills and knowledge you have, or weapons and alternative income streams you have. The only way to survive, not only in this life, but in eternity, is your relationship with God.
It is only by surrendering our lives to God.
I pray you make the right choice.
