Fuhrer Starmer’s government passed its first budget.[1] It has had a devastating effect on the British economy.[2] Rises in business National Insurance contribution[3] is already causing some companies to commence winding down to close while many more are contemplating similar measures.[4] Furthermore, larger companies like Tesco estimate the increase in NI will cost £1billion,[5] while Sainsbury’s will see a £140million increase and BT will see a £100million increase.[6] Accordingly, companies have hinted at price rises as the consumer pays for the increase.[7] Consequently, while the economic ineptness of politicians and bureaucrats has given rise to our current situation, it is the normal, hardworking person who will pay for the raid on the rich when paying for food. This will compound the already challenging task of managing family budgets during the cost-of-living crisis. This crisis is, in reality, a recession but is fast escalating into a depression.
The financial devastation unleashed by COVID lockdowns not only plunged governments into deeper debt but also caused many businesses to close permanently. Those businesses that remained used savings to keep afloat. However, the Labour government’s budget will see many companies close as they have no reserves to fall back on. Small businesses, such as hairdressers, will close. Likewise, small building businesses will close, while others will use their already depleting savings to try and ride the storm.
Consequently, the controversial Labour Government’s Budget will devastate the economies of the communities in which these businesses currently operate. Struggling businesses, when closed, will reduce the money spent in the local community—that of the money spent by the business itself and indirectly by the employees. Accordingly, a UK factory that is closing because of the budget, resulting in hundreds of job losses, will impact local businesses.[8] The former employees will not have the income to spend in local businesses such as coffee shops, pubs, hairdressers, gyms, etc.
Nevertheless, while the harsh reality of the budget spans all sectors of employment and people, those that affect the farming community[9] will significantly detriment those already struggling with food poverty as rises in food costs are inevitable. Conservative figures state that food prices increased by 19.1% in the previous twelve months until March 2023.[10] Others report that since 2022, food prices have risen by 28% overall, with some products, such as baked beans, increased by 70.5% and olive oil by 113.8%.[11] Accordingly, any increases in food costs will hurt the 22% (14.4 million) of people in the UK experiencing poverty in 2021/22.[12] Similarly, the energy price crisis compounded people’s financial struggles, seeing the biggest rise for 30 years in absolute poverty to 18% in the UK.[13] Something people have not recovered from—especially the most vulnerable and elderly. Thus, the recent budget will significantly compound the economic hardship these people face.
Yet, what most fail to comprehend is that the pillaging of British farmers[14] is a calculated move to facilitate further the carbon-neutral agenda. An endeavour that will, in turn, contribute to the cost-of-living crisis and famine.[15] UK farmers following the October budget report that farming is no longer viable.[16] The recent budget will further devastate the cost-of-living crises and UK food shortages as generational farmers struggle.[17] [18]
Why would a government that previously promised a few months earlier to restore stability for farmers[19] seek to tax an already stretched farming industry? We need to understand that the global carbon-neutral agenda seeks to reduce the amount of meat a person eats.[20] Reduce livestock levels to stop cows farting,[21] thus preventing high levels of carbon emissions.[22] A thought that has no validity, yet the sheepeople follow willingly. Therefore, could we see farmers being offered incentives not to have large herds of cattle but instead to develop land for solar and wind farms? Moves that are already being implemented in the UK will further deplete food supplies.
Remember, the plan is that we will own nothing and be happy.[23] [24]Thus, to enslave the people, which is what the agenda seeks, food needs to be controlled by the system. Thus, targeting farmers will cause the government to take over, as farmers will be forced to leave the industry.
Furthermore, many elderly people took their shots – which will see the early termination of their life.[25] [26] [27]Their beneficiary will not be able to absorb or see the benefits of paying the high inheritance tax and will thus close. We could then see the state taking the land as payment, possibly allowing the farmer to remain a tenant.[28]
The result is farms close. Governments own the land and thus control the means of food production, which in turn enslaves the people. The pattern is found in the Bible when Joseph was in Egypt. When famine came, the people bought food from the government; then when their money ran out, they sold their property and land to the government in exchange for food. Then, when they had nothing left, they sold themselves into slavery for food. Thus, for food, they accepted enslavement, seeing themselves moved into cities to be controlled by the government of their day. After the famine, the people survived but became slaves to the Pharaoh.[29] Is this our future? I believe it is one the Bible speaks of for the final generation. Sadly, most fail to listen to the prophetic warnings God has issued.
In summary, we will soon experience great famine and depression – an economic collapse that was not seen previously in the UK. The availability of food and meat will drastically be reduced. Remember, the ability to have chickens has been removed from people as one chicken now needs to be registered under the guise of bird flu. Historically, people sustained themselves by having a vegetable plot/allotment and having chickens. Unfortunately, while some still seek to be self-sustainable, this has become something practised by a bygone age.
Sadly, the knock-on effect is now impacting charities as people do not have the means to support good causes such as hospices that are struggling.[30] Historically, the church would have undertaken social action projects as part of its outreach programme to share the good news of Jesus Christ. However, while some continue to do so, others only engage in social action and do not offer spiritual support, as grants prevent them from doing so. Thus, while they offer physical support, which is greatly needed, it does not deal with offering spiritual counsel or sharing the good news of Jesus. More alarmingly is the fact that churches, who are supposed to be aware of the times we live in, fail to prepare so that they can help people. Consequently, the inaptness and spiritual blindness of the church prevent her from being salt and light in a decadent and deprived world.
Furthermore, while the British government states that this budget was meant to fix the foundations, it is the poorest of people who will pay for the bungling actions of politicians to spend wisely. Therefore, while this government astutely acknowledged the foundations of the British government needed to be fixed, they failed to understand why they were crumbling. The economic state of the British government, while due to inept bureaucrats, is primarily due to our nation dismantling the Biblical foundations it was built upon, consequently turning away from God.
The solution is not political, although political and economic measures need to be taken. Spiritual action must be taken. Our current situation is due to the spiritual decadence and lawless acts of our country. Consequently, God has removed His hand of protection, and our nation is under God’s judgment. The ONLY solution is for the church to repent and return to God. To purge out woke liberal ideologies/theology and walk in holiness according to God’s standard and not man’s.
Nevertheless, the reality of our situation is that judgment is here. Therefore, while people pray and repent and commit to walking righteously before God, they must also prepare physically and psychologically for unprecedented hard times. However, as stated, the most important preparation is spiritual preparedness, which is how we stand before God. What we are witnessing is judgment for our nation’s lawlessness. God has removed His hand of protection. Our only hope is to cry out to God in repentance, an act that reduces the severity of judgment but will not stop it.
Famine has been decreed! Economic collapse will follow. Then, because the people fail to repent, ask God for forgiveness and turn from lawlessness, judgment will intensify. War will come, and with it, greater levels of famine and pestilence. A judgment that will see 2 billion people die.
Thus, it is time to pray and seek God! Time is short! Many, through lack of foresight, will not be able to prepare. Consequently, many will lose their lives. However, by surrendering their lives to God and following Jesus, they can ensure their eternal destiny. Some reading this article will be offended by my directness. Yet, time does not bestow the luxury of passivity or gentle speech. The condition we find ourselves in is catastrophic, and so bluntness is needed to wake people up from their slumber.
The question is, what are you going to do?
